Childress out as Atlanta Legends head coach

Before the inaugural season of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) could even get underway, the Atlanta Legends announced Wednesday that Brad Childress was stepping away as the team's head coach.

The news comes just as training camps are starting to get underway in pro football's newest league. The Legends held their first practice on Saturday.

So does this means Childress is heading back to the NFL? He's worked with the Eagles, Vikings, Chiefs, Browns and Bears prior to heading over to the AAF.

A report from Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com suggests that Childress may be heading back to his former team.
