MLB provided another proposal to the players and it's been regarded by many as a step backwards, not forward.
The MLBPA regards today’s offer from MLB to be worse than the league’s last because it shifts greater emphasis on risk sharing in the postseason. Players would receive 50 percent of pro rata if there is no postseason, 75 if there is. @karlravechespn first on a new offer coming.

It appears that it may come down to honoring the March agreement which would likely result in a 50-game season and possibly an expanded playoffs.
Caray continues with a passoined plea about who baseball is forgetting about while they argue about length and compensation.
"I'm disgusted by this. We have a global pandemic, rioting in the streets," said Caray. "The other sports are finding ways to work together, to get games back, to get people entertainment, and baseball is acting like Wile E. Coyote with the anvil. Speaking as a fan I don't want to hear about the money. The most disheartening part is neither side has once thought about their customers; the fans."
