The Atlanta Falcons selected all but one defensive player in the 2020 NFL Draft, center Matt Hennessy from Temple University.
Former Falcons defensive end Chuck Smith told Dukes and Bell he believes there was a reason the offense didn't need much tweaking in the draft.
With some question marks still lingering on what the defense can be, the Falcons will need to count on the offense, and the offensive line in particular, to step up.
We're talking about a group that played together last year. Last season, you started 40 percent rookies; you had a 60 percent new offensive line. This year, even if you do have Hennessy starting at left guard, 80 percent of your offensive line is back from last year.
"We always use the word 'cohesion' when it comes to what's most important for an offensive line," Andy Bunker said. "Hopefully we can actually count on that unit being better because if they are, the offense can actually be better."
