The Atlanta Braves got another strong outing from young left-hander Max Fried Tuesday night, as he went six strong innings against the Colorado Rockies.
Could the starting rotation finally be coming around?
Carl Dukes said he loves what Fried has given the team in his first two starts.
“He has yet to allow an earned run so far,” Dukes said. “I’ll take what Max Fried is giving you right now. If Kyle Wright can continue to come around with Gausman back, Folty coming back soon... the starting rotation is starting to come around right now.”
Mike Bell talked about Fried’s usage of his curveball the second time through the lineup.
“If you saw Fried, he’s approaching the second time thru the lineup a different way,” Bell said. “He’s dropping that curveball in there for strikes, and he’s been great. I don’t know what took him so long to come around, but I’m loving what he’s doing right now.”
