While a kicking competition between Giorgio Tavecchio and Blair Wlash had been one of the big story lines leading up to the final preseason game, another kicker made even bigger news on Thursday afternoon.

Breaking news from @CoyWire on the #Falcons kicker front. Also confirmed from @putemupcdukes. Both were told Matt Bryant would be in to work out with Atlanta on Friday. https://t.co/O2kAWQi4hg

The Falcons haven't been pleased with how the kickers have looked in the preseason and Thursday's game didn't help out as Tavecchio missed another long field goal and Blair Walsh had one blocked as well.

Douglas feels the Falcons are going to have to pay a financial penalty for parting with Bryant the first time.

"You did kick me to the curb, however we get to that number, that's where I need to be.

"You need me more than I need you," explains Hugh Douglas. "This financial apology needs to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $2 Million."
