All the major College Football programs in the state of Georgia go on the road to open the season this coming week/weekend and Georgia State is no different.

"Every coach is ready to go and get the season started. Coming off last season, the way it finished up, this team's been building in the offseason we've got to go out there and show improvements."

Coach Elliott also spoke about the Volunteers not being the Tennessee of years past.

"Don't look at Tennessee as Tennessee, the reputation and traditions; we gotta look at them as they are right now. They're trying to find their way, their last season wasn't a great season, don't look at that word, Tennessee, and let it fool you and think it's bigger than it is."

To close he spoke about his team putting up a real fight against Tennessee in the trenches.

"Offensively they're still trying to piece together their offensive line," says Shawn Elliott, "and if we can pressure and penetrate those areas in the front we're going to have some opportunities to do some things they haven't seen before."
