NBC Sports Peter King joined Dukes & Bell to talk about how he’s staying busy during the Corona virus pandemic, what he thinks about the upcoming NFL draft, and his thoughts on what the Falcons will have to do in this draft.
King talked about the Falcons interest in Chaisson but why they don’t have to get any specific position.
“If you asked me my gut feeling right now and I would say it’s pretty easy to say what do they need right now and what makes sense for them. I talked to ten people who were really plugged into the draft and somebody told me that K’lavon Chaisson, probably the number two edge player in this draft from LSU, They thought “a” he would be a really good pick for the Falcons and not only a really good pick but he heard they were interested in him.” King said “But one of the things that Thomas Dimitroff did in free agency he said basically we’re going to go out and get a few guys and fill some holes. I think they’re not going to be forced into taking any specific position, to me I like the fact that they’ve addressed stuff in free agency and so they are not painted into a corner on what they have to do in this draft.”
