Are Falcons negotiating Jarrett's contract a year late?

Andy Bunker, in response to the latest roster moves, isn't feeling general manager Thomas Dimitroff at this moment. His explanation for it comes from signing Grady Jarrett a year later than he should have.

Dimitroff signed Bryant to this deal LAST off-season. Now he cuts him, pays him $1.3 mil in dead money to leave, so he can try to sign Grady......which he should have done LAST off-season.That seems bad.

"It just seems to me that you're attempting to make up for mistakes made last summer," Bunker said on his show Wednesday evening.

He believes that the latest cuts are a consequence of not getting a deal done with Jarrett last summer. And being that he didn't handle Jarrett's contract situation correctly, he doesn't trust him to get this team back on pace to ultimately get back to a Super Bowl.
