The Hawks gave up a 2020 first-round pick from the New York Nets, a 2024 second-round pick from the Golden State Warriors and Evan Turner in the deal.
The move shows the Hawks are sticking with their rebuild plan to get better in the future.
But how to they continue to make steps towards a NBA Championship?
"As far as I see it right now, the Hawks have a lot of good depth guys that develop into depth pieces," Andy Bunker said.
"Trae (Young) is part of a big three. Trae can be a part of a big three that can win playoff series. I think your other two aren't on the team right now."
Of course I have. If Collins is your 3rd best player, and you have a truly dynamic wing player, then sure. I'm just saying if goal is a championship, Trae and John as your 1-2 punch seems tough. There is more to hoops than ally-oops. Neither guy can guard you.
