The closer position continues to be a big question mark for the Atlanta Braves.

Despite acquiring three relievers before MLB's trade deadline (Shane Greene, Mark Melancon and Chris Martin), it was Luke Jackson closing out Sunday's finale against the Miami Marlins.

"If (Luke Jackson) is the best option that you have then you got to put him out there," Randy McMichael said. "For some reason, Snit trusts him more than he trusts the other guys because he knows him."

Greene lost the job after only four days. The Braves named Melancon as the closer heading into Saturday night's game; he blew the game. But Jackson can't be the long-term, right? He couldn't lose the job after four months of iffy relief.

"If that's you're only option, we're just going to have to roll with it," McMichael continued. "With all this chaos, we're still 6-1/2 games up (in the NL East)."
