Former Georgia Bulldog and Carolina Panther linebacker Thomas Davis joined Dukes and Bell on Radio Row. Davis was asked if he would consider coming to play for the Falcons, “ I would have no problem coming back home.”
Davis was then asked if veteran leadership is important in the locker room, “It’s a huge part of it, the teams that are successful have that mix of veteran guys with the younger guys in the mix and teams are realizing that.”
When asked if he is considering retirement Davis said, “I’m definitely going to play again, for me it’s all about finding a home somewhere to play, I’ve never been a free agent in my fourteen year career so it’s kind of bittersweet.”
Davis was then asked why he thinks Cam Newton is misunderstood “No question, probably because of the flashiness a lot of people take offense to that but that’s just Cam, it’s one of the things that gets him going. If you don’t allow him to get going, do those things and be himself then he’s going to have a tough day.”
