Atlanta Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter joined Dukes & Bell Monday to talk about all the Falcons news from the first day of legal tampering as the Falcons made a trade and moved on from several notable players.
Ledbetter told the guys that tight end Hayden Hurst will fit in well with the Falcons.
“Hayden was a guy they wanted back in 2018," Ledbetter said. “I just talked to my guys in Baltimore. Andrews beat him out. Basically, he was getting more catches up there than Hayden was, and the other kid is a big blocking tight end, Hayden is only 245 so he’s not a blocking tight end he’s a pass-catching tight end. So he’ll fit in nicely here.
"I know they liked him in ’18, so to get him at this point was probably a good move for the team.”
