NFL Network analyst Charles Davis joined Dukes & Bell to talk about the NFL combine, and is Chase Young worth moving up in the draft for.
“If the Falcons are serious about the pass rush game that they will move from 16 to two,” Dukes said. “We know what it will cost us, but tell us why Chase Young is a difference maker.”
Davis responded to Carl’s question and said that Young is by far the best edge rusher in the draft.
“We learned that he is that talent that stands alone at his position and in his skillset, the No. 1 edge rusher in the draft,” Davis said. “The best thing that I found out that the myth of him not doing much down the stretch is exposed a little bit. Everyone looks at raw numbers. Hey he didn’t have a sack in the last three games, turn on the tape and watch this play, he had a lot of hurries and a lot of plays. I don’t think there is anyone close to him as a edge rusher in this draft. By ranking he is clearly out of all the positions probably the guy that has the No. 1 spot the biggest gap between number one and two.”
