The Atlanta Braves have reportedly come to terms with outfielder Yasiel Puig for this season, the guys on Dukes & Bell talked about the move.
Carl said this is a move for right now because of the departure of Nick Markakis.
“If you’re going to overthink this about Puig, you’re doing too much," Dukes said. "It’s a 60-game season, who cares. We got the universal DH, let’s see what he can do with the bat and help us and at the end of the day let’s see where this goes. I just think this is a move for right now because of Nick Markakis.”
Mike told guys not to worry about the clubhouse dynamic.
“Markakis has decided not to play this year and we understood that," Bell said. "Puig is a younger guy, he can steal a base, he’s tough. Don’t worry about the clubhouse dynamic, everything will work itself out. This guy is an upgrade.”
