Ronald Acuña Jr has eventful, productive night as Braves fly past Rockies

Ronald Acuña Jr continues his NL MVP campaign amid an interesting fan interaction as the Braves beat the Rockies 14-4

The Atlanta Braves cruised through the first game of their series against the Colorado Rockies, 14-4, behind the pitching of All-Star Bryce Elder and NL MVP front-runner Ronald Acuña Jr. The Braves kept the Los Angeles Dodgers at bay on their quest for home-field advantage.

Acuña Jr had four hits and a home run, pushing his total to 29. He also added a double, a walk, five RBI, two steals (pushing his total to 61) and four runs. Acuña Jr put on an MVP performance that must've gotten two fans excited enough to rush him in right field.

Yes, the game had to be delayed momentarily to have these two overzealous fans removed from the field. The initial fan appeared to want a hug or some type of contact with Acuña, while the latter appeared to push him on the ground before Coors Field security got a handle on the situation. On The Hometown Take Tuesday morning, Dylan spoke about dangerous a situation of that nature can be and how the expectation should be the player's safety at all times.
