Austin Riley has easily been the most consistent player on the Braves this season and is making a strong push to be the NL MVP. After hitting a home run in his fourth straight game, Eric Cole of Battery Power, is taking notice.
The Deputy Manager of Battery Power joined The Dopey Millennials Show, hosted by Garrett Chapman and Caleb Johnson, on Sunday and was asked about Austin Riley.
Cole spoke on how Austin Riley is incredible with making adjustments and pointed to how he started slow and then has carried this Braves squad during the second half of the season. "He's so good at making adjustments to what he is seeing." said Cole.
Riley has made pitchers adjust to him the entire season realizing there are certain pitches they can't throw his way because of how dominant his bat has been for the Braves during this run.
Eric Cole went on to say that, "When he's dialed in you can't get him out and he's probably the most dangerous hitter on the team."
The fourth-year third baseman has posted 79 runs, 149 hits, 35 home runs, and 88 RBIs this season. Certainly worthy of the MVP praise he is getting this season. What's most important now? Can he replicate this success in the postseason?
