Jurickson Profar had a career season in 2024 and is looking to build off that after finding a new home in Atlanta. According to Audacy MLB insider Tony Gwynn Jr., Profar is the type of player that comes to the ballpark daily and brings his best effort no matter what. Gwynn Jr. watched him play covering the Padres for 97.3 The Fan in San Diego.
The 32-year-old outfielder belted 24 home runs and drove in 85 runs last season to go along with his defensive versatility. He will be an invaluable asset in the outfield as Ronald Acuna Jr. continues to recover from offseason knee surgery. Profar will also be a welcome addition to a close-knit clubhouse featuring Acuna, Ozzie Albies and Michael Harris.
The Braves will most likely use Profar to set the tone in the leadoff spot to begin the season. He will be counted on to perform at the plate and use his grinder mentality to help get the Braves' offense back on track.
