After enduring a tough sweep at the hands of NL rival the Los Angeles Dodgers on the West Coast, the Braves returned to Truist Park hungry for redemption. Jarred Kelenic seized the moment, launching his first home run as a member of the Atlanta Braves driving in Travis d’Arnaud and giving the Braves an early lead.

In the sixth inning, Reynaldo Lopez faced some trouble, walking three batters and putting the Red Sox in prime scoring position. A rare fielding error by Orlando Arcia allowed the Red Sox to capitalize, tying the game at 2-2 before Aaron Bummer relieved Lopez for the night.

The Braves refused to stay down for long, as the Red Sox turned to Justin Slaten to take over for Greg Weissert, who promptly walked Ozzie Albies. Despite a strikeout by Matt Olsen, the bats came alive as Austin Riley and Marcell Ozuna both singled, and Arcia's fielder's choice put the Braves back in the lead at 4-2.

Raisel Iglesias then shut down the Red Sox in the ninth inning, securing three consecutive outs and sealing the win for the Braves. With momentum on their side, the Braves look to clinch the series victory Wednesday at 7:20 p.m.
