As the old saying goes, “there’s no place like home.”

Their return trip to Atlanta can't come soon enough for the Atlanta Braves, the now 0-6 club has shown no signs of being able to get themselves on track out west. After Wednesday's finale in Los Angeles, the Braves come to Truist Park Friday for a three game series against the Marlins.

“We’re six games under .500, we’re winless, we’re 0-6, we lost our leadoff hitter, we lost our No. 2 starter, whatever you want to call Reynaldo Lopez, I mean this thing went south,” Steak Shapiro said on Wednesday as he and Sandra Golden discussed the start to the Braves season as their offense continues to struggle.

“They have never scored fewer than 10 runs through the first six games of any season ever,” Golden said of the Braves who missed the mark, having scored just nine runs, two in the last four games, and have struck out 60 times to start the season. “We are the only team in baseball that is winless.”

Atlanta currently sits at the bottom of the National League East, trailing the first place Phillies by four games.

And while there is plenty of baseball to go with 156 games remaining, Shapiro noted he believes Braves fans should now have serious concerns about how well the team will do this season after a start he believes is a ‘major problem’ and will likely see them enter their home opener at 0-7.

“I understand there’s a 155 games left, but you’re seven games under .500 in a division with some pretty good baseball teams,” Shapiro added, acknowledging he does believe the Braves will begin to have better at bats and possibly play well at home, however believes they are “in big trouble.”
