The Atlanta Braves have gone through their full rotation one time now and considering Max Fried's performance in a Braves 12-4 win over the Phillies was the worst outing amongst the starters, it's safe to say things are looking good early on for the Braves staff.
Here are the stat-lines for the Braves starters in their first outing:
• Spencer Strider: 5 innings, 3 hits, 8 strikeouts, and 2 runs allowed
• Max Fried: 0.2 innings, 2 hits, 1 strikeout, and 3 runs allowed
• Chris Sale: 5.1 innings, 5 hits, 7 strikeouts, and 2 runs allowed
• Charlie Morton: 5.2 innings, 3 hits, 6 strikeouts, and 0 runs allowed
• Reynaldo Lopez: 6 innings, 4 hits, 5 strikeouts, and 1 run allowed
After seeing the performances of Chris Sale, Charlie Morton, and Reynaldo Lopez, even with two of those three games being losses, the Braves are reminding the baseball universe that the rotation is a lot more than just Spencer Strider and Max Fried.
