The Atlanta Braves brought back outfielder, and fan favorite, Marcell Ozuna on a four-year, $65 million contract that includes a fifth-year club option.
Ozuna had a .338 batting average, knocking in 18 home runs and 56 RBI in 60 games in the 2020 season for the Braves.
FOX Sports South Braves reporter says Ozuna brings more to the table than just padded stats.
"I thought they got him--I don't want to say a steal--but I thought they got him at a really good bargain," Byrd told Andy and Randy. "I thought what he did last year was fantastic.

"Look, he protects Freddie Freeman. As a pitcher, when I look down a lineup, I go 'man, alright who's not going to beat me? Well, the MVP's not going to beat me so I'm going to pitch around that guy.' But if standing on deck is Marcell Ozuna, who was right next to (Freeman) in the MVP race, then I say 'man, I got to pitch to Freddie.' And I think that's why you saw Freddie have the numbers that he had.
"It's not just about getting Marcell Ozuna for Marcell Ozuna's numbers, it's about making the others numbers better, like Freddie...I was glad to see them him. I thought he was--I don't want to say underrated because people noticed him--but I thought he was so valuable that you couldn't afford to go into this year without protection for Freeman and others."
