The Atlanta Braves have most certainly had their fair share of struggles to start the 2021 season. The Braves are 14-16 and currently sit in second place in the National League East division. No one predicted in May that the team that has won their division three years in a row, would be sitting two games under .500.
Jon Chuckery has a theory that they may be too dependent on hitting home runs. "I just don't think they take enough advantage of their speed" Chuckery said.
Even though their offense can be dynamic, it's not too far fetched to expect that they will get stagnant at the wrong time, specifically in the playoffs. So if the Braves want to get that World Series, and win it, it would behoove them to take advantage of the speed in their lineup.
