There are a few similarities between the 2021 World Series Champion Braves and this year’s Atlanta team, and former MLB general manager Jim Duquette told The Morning Shift Wednesday he gets the same vibe from the 2024 Braves that he did the 2021 Braves.

“I don’t know, this has a vibe guys of 2021," said Duquette. "I don’t know if you guys feel that way too, but it does from afar.”

Obviously the biggest similarity between the 2021 team and the 2024 team is losing Ronald Acuña Jr. to a season ending torn ACL. The Braves also have Adam Duvall and Eddie Rosario back on the roster. Both outfielders were key components in the Braves winning it all three years ago, including Rosario being the NLCS MVP.

Duvall was brought back for his third separate stint with Atlanta after spending last season in Boston. Rosario left for Washington in free agency, but was recently released by the Nationals and picked up by the Braves.

The Braves obviously hope they can conjure up some of that same magic they had in 2021. And with the team on a four-game winning streak, with two of those wins being against the Phillies, a 2021 vibe is starting to be felt.
