Matt Olson has four home runs in his last 22 at-bats after hitting two last night against the Philadelphia Phillies, and even though he has been inconsistent all season earlier today our very own Atlanta Braves reporter and Insider Grant McAuley told The Morning Shift some ‘minor adjustment’ Olson could’ve made to tweak his swing, and help him get hot at the perfect time for the Braves.

“I think he’s managed to adjust a little bit in the box. I think he’s trying to kind of quiet some things down. There’s some movement in his stance, his setup, and obviously when he takes his stride and looks to get his swing started maybe those are the little things that if you’re just watching day after day you don’t notice the major change it’s not like he started batting right handed or something so I think a lot of it has to do with the cyclical nature of a season as well there aren’t going to be those highs and lows and I think he’s just continued to work and that’s a credit to Matt Olson.”

The Braves first baseman was through 102 games with 13 home runs, and was on pace for 20 or 21 home runs. Well, last night Matt hit his 24th and 25th home runs of the season, and with the tweaks and ‘minor adjustments’ he’s made to his swing and his stance hopefully he can continue to stay hot and hit a lot more for the Braves before the regular season ends and hopefully in the postseason as well.
