Following a three-hit, two-run weekend series against the Boston Red Sox for catcher Drake Baldwin, Braves manager Brian Snitker made his feelings quite clear of expectations for the young rookie.
"He's going to play more," Snitker said. "That's just the way it goes, and he's doing a great job. I want to keep him active, as well as [Sean Murphy]."
Monday morning FanDuel Sports broadcaster Wiley Ballard joined The Steakhouse to talk about Baldwin's recent success.
Baldwin has played in 12 of the last 15 games for the Braves either starting or getting pinch-hit opportunities. The former third-round pick for Atlanta in 2022 is currently hitting .500 in his last 14 games, including 19 hits in his last 38 at-bats. His slugging percentage is on par with Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, and Freddie Freeman.
