Atlanta Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos made multiple moves at the trade deadline to strengthen the team’s lineup that has suffered multiple injuries. The pressure is now on manager Brian Snitker to push the right buttons.

Carl said Snitker has more options than he’s been used to for most of the season.


“We just haven’t scored enough runs night in and night out, so now all of a sudden you’ve given the manager more power, an option or two to fill out the lineup card and fill a lot better about it than he has,” Dukes said. “Whether it was Almonte who was a nice piece, Heredia, all these guys are still here but they’re not the guys that we got. Everybody that we acquired are better hitters, so how do you do this, how does this lineup look with the guys that we added that we’re gonna get the most pop, most bang for our buck?”

Bell talked about Snitker now being under the microscope.

“Snitker, he’s gonna be under the microscope now, your general manager has given you more weapons, you can only get one more pitcher but the bullpen, it’ll have to do,” Bell said.
