Kyle Wright led Major League Baseball last season with 21 wins, nobody else had more than 18 (Justin Verlander). And while it was absolutely a breakout season for the 27-year-old right-hander, is that a level of dominance that fans can expect for 2023, as well?

John Fricke and Robb Tribble take a look at Wright's season in 2022 and discuss if it was truly a breakout year or if it was an anomaly. Are they concerned about a regression for Wright this season?

"His curveball went from 80 MPH to 84, his sinker from 91 MPH to 94, occasionally 96 MPH, his stuff was amazing. He went through adversity and that's why I think last year wasn't a fluke," explains Robb Tribble. "It is the quietest 20-game winner I've ever seen in my life. You get caught up in Max Fried and Spencer Strider and ignore somebody like Kyle Wright who's filthy."

Kyle Wright, despite leading the majors in wins, only finished 10th in the NL Cy Young voting receiving just a single 4th place vote and a single 5th place vote. Braves ace Max Fried actually finished 2nd in Cy Young voting in 2022.
