On Thursday Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael were joined by 92.9 The Game Atlanta Braves Reporter, Joe Patrick, who talked about the team’s starting pitching rotation.

“I don’t think the Braves have that many question marks in their rotation. I think that Drey Smyly is one…I tend to think his spot is going to be locked up. Going back to Kyle Wright and Bryse Wilson, I think those two guys are going to be the ones who are locked up in a battle for that last spot in the starting rotation,” said Patrick when asked about the pitching staff.

“I’ve always also been including Huascar Ynoa in that conversation and he is getting stretched out as a starter this spring. But it seems like he has just been a little bit off and I would say he is definitely not leading that competition right now. I think it will go down between Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright and I guess it’s just take your pick at that point. I’m more confident in Bryse Wilson at this point in grabbing that last spot just based on that huge confidence-building performance that he had in the NLCS last year. But you never know, this thing is going to go down to the wire and I don’t think they will make a decision until right around Opening Day,” Patrick continued.
