Tyler Allgeier's pursuit of 1,000 yards is a victory for the entire offense

Atlanta Falcons rookie RB Tyler Allgeier will need his second 100+ yard game of the season fi he wants to reach 1,000 on the year. The Falcons lead back out of BYU currently has 900 yards and will look to reach that milestone in Week 18 against the Buccaneers.

Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dave Ragone is aware how close Allgeier is to reaching that mark, but also says the record isn't just about him.

"This is a big deal regardless of the milestone, this is an offensive deal. If you're running the football on offense it does take all eleven," says Ragone. "The back gets the statistical thing that goes across the ticker and says how many yards he had, but offensive line to the QB getting the right checks to the receivers at the secondary levels create holes, everybody takes pride in certain things. It's everybody involved."

The Atlanta Falcons rookie rushing record of 1,023 was set by William Andrews in 1971, and Allgeier could catch and pass Andrews if he could reach 124 rushing yards.
