The Falcons made their announcement just a few hours after their season-ending victory over the New Orleans Saints, they are parting ways with both Head Coach Raheem Morris and General Manager Terry Fontenot. Despite ending the year on a 4-game winning streak, Atlanta Falcons Owner Arthur Blank felt the team simply fell too short of expectations and made the decision to make those changes.

In a letter to Falcons fans, Arthur Blank detailed his frustration, his belief the team should be competing on a higher level, and how results have not matched expectations. He also stressed that the Falcons fans deserve the best and he will continue to take the steps necessary to deliver that.
