Atlanta Braves to be part of MLB history this weekend

For the first time in MLB history, during the Saturday game between the Miami Marlins and the Atlanta Braves, there will be a female umpire as part of the crew working the game. Jen Pawol will work the bases during a doubleheader on Saturday and then gear-up to call pitches in Sunday's finale.

Jen Pawol, who worked Spring Training games in 2024 and 2025m has been working in the minor leagues since 2016, and will be the fifth umpire to debut at the major league level so far this season.
