Falcons continue to shine in primetime with MNF win over Saints
Through the first four weeks of the season, the Atlanta Falcons can be described as the true definition of “tale of two halves,” after losing Week 1 to the Pittsburg Steelers and in Week 2 to the Carolina Panthers, then with the return of Michael Penix Jr. as their starting quarterback, defeating the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 and convincingly beating the New Orleans Saints in Week 4.
“Nobody had us doing a damn thing last night and all we did was score 45 points, run for 200 yards and look like a team that’s turned the corner,” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes, said regarding the Falcons 45-24 win over the Saints on Monday night, a matchup in which they were considered the underdog. “And all of a sudden, we are in the mix,: Dukes continued as he and cohost, Mike Bell , discussed Atlanta’s win moving them to 1-1 in the NFC South and 2-2 overall.
“This win was thoroughly important to get last night. Not just because of the division, but also just from a team standpoint, another road victory and we’re celebrating it,” Dukes said of Atlanta’s win against New Orleans.Falcons move stay relevant in NFC South with win over Saints
