Something that a lot of Atlanta Falcons fans may not know, is that superstar running-back Bijan Robinson has a second passion: acting.
Bijan met actor Matthew McConaughey while at the University of Texas, and was taken under the wing of the Academy Award winning actor. Since then, Robinson has appeared in several television shows and commercials, and has been pretty impressive doing it. Something that Bijan Robinson recently told ESPN, is that he has dreams of playing the role of a super-hero. While Robinson has not been cast a super-hero role on screen yet, he is already living that role on the football field.
The Falcons beat the New York Giants 34-7 on Sunday, and the largest offensive contributor was of course, Bijan Robinson. Bijan finished the game with 103 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, bringing his 2024 all-purpose yardage total to 1,616 with ten total touchdowns. The craziest part of those stat-lines is that the Falcons still have two games left on the season. Robinson is putting together an all-pro season, but has unfortunately been over-shadowed slightly by the drama going on at the Falcons’ quarterback position. Like a super-hero moving quietly in the night, Bijan Robinson is sitting third in the NFL behind only Saquon Barkley and Derek Henry in all-purpose yardage for the season, and has the Falcons back on top of the NFC South after Sunday’s victory against the Giants. While the Falcons may have a budding star on their hands in rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr, Bijan Robinson has already reached superstar status, and just like the super-hero that he wants to play on the big screen, he is doing it all while flying under the radar. Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael explore Bijan’s performance from Sunday, as well as what it will take to propel the falcons in to the playoffs.
