Brock Bowers getting cleared doesn't mean he will actually play

Georgia Tight End Brock Bowers has been practicing this week and it's expected that he will be cleared to play ahead of Saturday's home game against Ole Miss, but will he actually see any action? It will have been 26 days since his surgery to repair a high ankle sprain, and while he seems to have the green light, just being cleared doesn't mean he will necessarily see the field.

In the clip above, Radi Nabulsi of UGASports.com makes it clear, he does think that Bowers will suit up and be ready to go, his usage will still be unknown, but does admit that there are some examples of players being cleared and still not participating.

Georgia Offensive Lineman Amarius Mims has been active for the past two weeks and has yet to play, and he had a procedure nearly identical to the one that Bowers had. For Bowers, it's likely that Saturday against Ole Miss will be his last home game for the Bulldogs, so if he can go, the expectation is that he will, but simply being cleared doesn't mean he'll see the field.
