Draft Analyst Dane Brugler joined Dukes & Bell to talk about the NFL draft and why Kyle Pitts might be the most unique player in the NFL draft.
Brugler said we haven’t seen a tight end prospect like Pitts in a while.
“He’s rare, he’s a unicorn, we have not seen a guy that’s 6’6 245 pounds who runs a 4.40 and the raw measurable look great, but then you throw on the tape and it’s even better.” Brugler said “It’s not like he’s just burning safeties and linebackers, watch the Kentucky tape, Kelvin Joseph who has a chance to be a first rounder in a few weeks is a 4.3 athlete and Kyle Pitts is running right past him.”
“So he has the athleticism, he has the elite ball skills, he can be a true difference maker for your team. So in my opinion he is the best non-quarterback, the most impactful non-quarterback in this draft and it would be awfully tough to pass on a talent like that.”
