Falcons GM Terry Fontenot is set to address the media on Thursday following another disappointing season in Atlanta. Fontenot has failed to make the playoffs during his tenure and 2024 was by far the biggest disappointment of them all. Will Fontenot be able to rally Falcons' nation and get them excited about the future?
The Falcons finishing 8-9 continues to be a gigantic shock to the fanbase after a 6-3 start with a 4-0 record in the NFC South. All sides are to blame with Fontenot missing on several key draft picks and the organizational decision to bring in Kirk Cousins. The defensive collapses also need to be addressed by the GM after allowing 44 points to the Carolina Panthers in the final game of the season.
After the seventh straight season of not making the playoffs it remains to be seen what kind of messaging Fontenot can put together to quell the worries of the fanbase, but that is the job of the General Manager.
