The Atlanta Falcons have one of the biggest wildcards in their pocket as the NFL Draft weekend arrives. Could Kirk Cousins be on the move by this weekend? Dukes & Bell discussed the possibility of a blockbuster trade ahead of the first round on Thursday.
"Now's the time," Dukes said about the possibility of a move. "[Especially] if you're going to try and pull something off with draft capital involved."
Publicly, the Falcons have claimed to be disinterested in trading their veteran backup quarterback. Privately, NFL insiders say the Falcons have been having discussions with other teams -- reports that GM Terry Fontenot has denied.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, or the Minnesota Vikings could all reportedly have an interest in adding Cousins, but they could also look to fill their needs in this weekend's draft without needing to pick up the tab for his guaranteed money.
Whether or not a trade occurs this weekend, the possibility will remain throughout the summer. Hear their full comments, and what Fontenot had to say about it, in the link above.
