Defensive lineman the Falcons can actually target in free agency

On Thursday Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael were joined by NFL Insider for SiriusXM and Fox Sports Radio, Adam Caplan, who among other things talked about the realistic free agents at defensive line the Atlanta Falcons could target this off-season.

“The kind of guys who would fit who are not going to cost a ton of money, Tyus Bowser is terrific. He is a very underrated outside pass rusher for the Ravens, he is an unrestricted free agent out of University of Houston who has had some really good productivity as a sub-package rusher. He is a young guy, he would be perfect for this team,” said Caplan.

“Leonard Floyd of the Rams, former 1st round pick of the Bears. He revived his career with the Rams. He is available. Marcus Golden before he tore his ACL three years ago was a really terrific player. He was a Cardinal went to the Giants, didn’t work out, went back to the Cardinals. He is available,” Caplan continued.

“But a guy I absolutely love would be Tyus Bowser who should have plenty of interest. The Ravens are focusing on Matthew Judon, who is probably the top outside pass-rusher available in free agency…Though the Ravens’ scheme is a little bit different but there is certain some similarities to what Dean Pees is going to run. Dean knows that scheme because he was there but Dean has his own version of it,” Caplan continued.

Caplan also went on to talk about Hasson Reddick who had 12.5 sacks last year for the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Fackrell from the New York Giants.
