Falcons 3-7 due to lack of attention to detail, not lack of talent

The Atlanta Falcons are 3-7 and currently on a five game losing streak not because they don’t have talent on their team, but because they’ve made critical errors in the biggest moments of their games, and earlier today The Morning Shift talked about that.

“You’re not losing games because of the fact that you’re just talent-less. You’re losing games because you for some reason have zero detail.” Beau Morgan said

Yesterday, Falcons cornerback and kickoff returner Natrone Brooks giving up a touchdown on defense then fumbling the ensuing kickoff changed the game, flipped the game on its head, and gave all the momentum to the Carolina Panthers. Falcons center Ryan Neuzil being illegally downfield on a three count screen killed that particular drive.

There were plenty of other mistakes that happened in that game and in their other games as well that have played a big part in Atlanta’s 3-7 overall record, 0-3 NFC South record, and their current five game losing streak.

Atlanta has shown on multiple occasions they have the talent to win, but they have also shown on multiple occasions that their level of execution and attention to detail isn’t at the level it needs to be for them to win consistently.
