The Atlanta Falcons jumped out to a two-touchdown lead against the Bears before falling in the fourth quarter and losing the game 30-26.
Since then, there's been a lot of questions surrounding the end-of-game play-calling and how, not only was the defense not able to get a stop, but the offense wasn't able to drain the clock.
Hugh Douglas and Mike Conti were both bothered by the series of events leading to the loss and vented about their frustrations on Monday's Morning Show.
"Three games in, I know what this defense is, and it's not clutch," stresses Hugh Douglas. "I understand Quinn is a defensive coach, but if it’s a situation where I gotta depend on you (the defense) to help me win a game, I’m not putting you back on the field, I’m going to take my chances with the offense."
"If the Falcons had gone run-run-run, punt three times, they’re either going to take eight minutes off the clock or make Chicago spend three timeouts AND take five minutes off the clock," details Mike Conti. "You cannot have any faith in putting this defense on the field when they have to get a stop to save the game."
"They’ve shown you no ability to do that," continues Conti. "You’ve got to understand time, score and personnel and that was such a huge blunder to manage the clock and manage the game the way they did."
