The Houston Texans come into their matchup with Atlanta Falcons winners of two straight games. C.J. Stroud has been throwing the ball all around the yard, and finds himself fourth in the NFL in passing yards.

How do the Falcons snap the Texans winning streak and make Stroud look like a rookie quarterback? Atlanta Falcons Linebackers Coach, Frank Bush, told The Morning Shift earlier today what it will take to slow down Stroud in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday.

“We want to show people different things and we want to make it hard for them and easy for us, so you know do some things where we look different, but you know ultimately have the same scheme, same concept, same technique, but make it hard for them to figure out what we’re doing.”

Coach Bush continued by saying “It’s been really good for us, I mean like you said we’ve had guys up, we’ve shown them different looks, we’re making them have to change the way they protect and really kinda causing consummation is the word i’ll use, you know causing them to have to kind of rethink or re-idea and do some things differently and what happens is you know when you’re trying to get 11 guys on the same page sometimes you know somebody is going to make a mistake or the technique gets flawed, and we’ve been able to be effective there.”

Between getting pressure early and often and showing Stroud different looks, if the Falcons can disguise their looks, fool and trick C.J., make him rethink what he’s seeing, make him hold the ball too long, or get rid of the ball before he wants to it will be a successful day for the team.
