Following the Atlanta Falcons loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, some of the criticism the team received was in relation to the use of Bijan Robinson, which 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes and Mike Bell, agreed the third-year running back should have received more than his 20 total touches which resulted in 40 rushing yards and 52 receiving yards, being held to less than 100 total scrimmage yards for the first time this season.
On Wednesday, Falcons head coach, Raheem Morris, joined Dukes and Bell for their weekly interview and explained why Robinson's productivity was lower than they had hoped for. "They were the more physical team," Morris said as he discussed the Falcons wanting to get more from Robinson and the Atlanta run game, however San Francisco's game defensive game plan altered their efforts.
"In order for B [Bijan Robinson] to get the ball more, we have to be more efficient in our run game, we have to find ways to find efficient runs so you can give it to him again and again and again and that's what we've been doing the last couple of weeks to get wins in," Morris told Dukes and Bell, noting Atlanta had to find other ways to get Robinson the ball against the 49ers.
"And when those things don't happen, you get off kilter, and that's what happened to us," Morris said as they looked to other opportunities to try and pick up the win on Sunday, but unfortunately came up short.
