The Atlanta Falcons have room for improvement at multiple positions across their roster, with pass rusher being one of the largest concerns. With the eighth overall pick in this years' draft, Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network draft analyst, believes the Falcons are in a prime spot to nab a top tier prospect at the position.
Expect edge rushers to go early and to go often. During a Wednesday appearance on the Midday Show, Jeremiah said, "I think some guys that maybe people were thinking, optimistically, they would see at the 12 or 14 range, those guys are going to be long gone."
That being said, Jeremiah did tell hosts Andy and Randy, "They (the Falcons) are going to have a pass rusher there."
He went on to bring up players like Travon Walker and Jermaine Johnson as possible options for the Falcons defense, stating the "big gap" between them and top edge rushers Aidan Hutchinson and Kayvon Thibodeaux doesn't really exist.
One thing is clear. Whether it be Walker, Johnson, or maybe even Michigan standout, David Ojabo, the Falcons will have their pick of the litter when it comes to edge rushing talent this year.
