After the Atlanta Falcons’ 20-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday there was a feeling amongst Falcons fans that the loss to a Saints team that was completely depleted at the wide receiver position, in the midst of a seven game losing streak, and had just fired their head coach was just as bad of a loss if not worse than the loss at home in week seven to the Seattle Seahawks where the Falcons seemed to have no energy and no real shot to ever win that game.
However, today on The Morning Shift Beau Morgan explained why he thinks the Falcons’ loss to the Saints was completely different, and not as bad as the Falcons’ loss to the Seahawks.
“No it’s completely different, at no point in the Seattle game did you ever really step up and try to take control. You took control of this game in the second half you just didn’t convert the opportunities in the red area, or the kicking game to win the game, and that is another thing, but that’s also where when you start slow and you put yourself behind the eight ball now you can’t miss on opportunities.” Beau said
The Falcons definitely picked up the intensity both offensively and defensively in the second half of the Saints game, and at one point seemed like they had all the momentum in the game when it was never like that in the game against the Seahawks. Hopefully, last week’s loss will re-focus the Falcons, and help them start fast and finish strong in the Mile High City when they take on the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
