The Atlanta Falcons are ending their 2025 season with momentum after picking up a 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, giving them their third straight win, the first time winning three consecutive game this season and the first time since early in the 2024 season.
And while it may be a mixed bag of emotions for Falcons’ fans in regards to how they are feeling about the team’s performance the past few weeks, the consistency from the offense with Kirk Cousins back under center should give some form of comfort, however that is not the case due to the uncertain of Cousins wanting to return to Atlanta.
“You’d almost be sick to your stomach to see him go some place and close out his career with a couple of really good seasons when he could do them here in Atlanta,” Atlanta Falcons Radio Network analyst and former Falcons quarterback, Dave Archer, said as he joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell to share his thoughts on why the Falcons need to work towards securing Cousins’ services next season.
“To me, I would bring it back and say we’re wide open,” Archer continued as he explained he believes the Falcons should not only bring Cousins back, but also assure the veteran quarterback he would have a fair shot to compete to the team’s quarterback, which he believes the team should have done heading into this season.
”I might reboot that. I might just bring those two guys back and say, we’ll have Easton Stick come back as well and just leave the quarterback room the way it is and say ‘hey guys, it’s wide open, let’s go play’”, Archer said.
