With the Atlanta Falcons mandatory minicamp having come to an end, initial expectations for their 2025 season are fairly high, especially as it pertains to the offensive side of the ball with the Michael Penix Jr. era now officially ushered in.
And while a Penix Jr. led offense with Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Darnell Mooney have some NFL analyst pegging the Falcons to have one of the more explosive offenses in the league this season, the additions on defense with the likes of rookies Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. and veterans Divine Diablo and Leonard Floyd has created some buzz about how improve their pass rush will be.
“This team, I think, has the potential to be much better with that,” Atlanta Falcons Radio Network color analyst, Dave Archer said on Thursday as he joined 92-9 The Games Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and shared his thoughts on why he believes the Falcons will be more dangerous in pressuring and sacking opposing quarterbacks
“When you’re in a situation where you have to score points, now all of a sudden the defense can peel it back a little bit and they can get after you and have different packages and things to get after the passer,” Archer added in regards to the Falcons‘ defense and how pivotal they will be to their success this season.
