Falcons revamped their defense despite just 5 draft picks

The Atlanta Falcons have had a significant disparity in regard to which side of the ball has needs to be addressed. While you could nitpick and find some smaller concerns on offense, they major issues remained on defense, and despite having just five picks in the 2025 NFL Draft, tied for second fewest in the league, the Falcons took significant steps to improve the side of the ball that is viewed as more likely to hold them back this season.

"I think the Falcons had a nice draft. They addressed the needs. They only had five picks, you're not going to revamp you're entire team, I don't think they needed to revamp the entire team," said Andy Bunker. "They needed to revamp the pass rush, and they went after it in the first round."

"We know who these guys are. We've seen them play, we've seen them manhandle people," says Randy McMichael. "It's all about where you put them to be successful in the defense."
