If Taylor Heinicke buys new Jordans, it will be a good thing for the Falcons, but not Desmond Ridder


The Atlanta Falcons recently brought home Georgia native Taylor Heinicke on a two-year deal worth $14 million. That's a lot of money to pay a backup, but was Heinicke brought in to be a backup? To hear Taylor Heinicke tell it. "It's Desmond Ridder's job." But do we believe that? Of course Heinicke will say that, because it is the right thing to say. It even sounds like he is on board for being a mentor to Desmond Ridder, but there's no way that Heinicke is being brought in to just be a backup.

Heinicke has more NFL experience and has won a lot more games than Desmond Ridder, And Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael believes that his shot at winning the starting quarterback role is a legitimate one. Something that Taylor Heinicke has done in the past after winning NFL football games is buy a pair of custom Jordan sneakers, in the color of the team that he just beat. One thing is for sure, Desmond Ridder better be hoping that Heinicke's shoe guy isn't getting any phone calls after the start of the season!
