New Falcons head coach Arthur Smith stopped by Dukes & Bell Tuesday to address the Atlanta media for the first time since being hired.

Smith discussed his success in Tennessee as the offensive coordinator with Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry and how that experience can translate in Atlanta with Matt Ryan.

“I don't get into comparisons just because we had success with Derrick Henry or Ryan Tannehill," Smith said. "There’s certain things that we believe in how we coach. Every player is different. With Ryan it was pretty practical. We played to his strengths and the strengths of our offense.”

Coach Smith also pointed to Matt Ryan’s history of success and says he is looking forward to working with the veteran signal-caller.

“Certainly Matt Ryan has had a ton of success," Atlanta's new head coach said. "I got all the respect in the world for Matt Ryan. I’m fired up about working with him. We’ll evaluate his strengths and what the strengths of our offense are. That’s a constant evolution as well.”
