The NFL has confirmed the punishment being levied on the Atlanta Falcons in the aftermath of the Shedeur Sanders prank call incident will be a $250,000 fine on the team and a $100,000 fine on Defensive Coordinate Jeff Ulbrich, whose son Jax was the central figure.
The fine is due to the failure to prevent the disclosure of confidential information distributed to the club, as Jax Ulbrich reportedly got Shedeur Sanders, and possibly other phone numbers, off an iPad left unlocked in the Ulbrich household.
While it certainly is a hefty price, the punishment did not include the loss of any future draft picks. The Falcons have also released a statement in which they reassure that they "are confident in our security policies and practices and will continue to emphasize adherence to them with our staff whether on or off premises."
